Why bother?
Film x Your Wedding Day
Adding film to your package adds another layer of excitement and depth. Receiving your wedding gallery will always be crazy exciting even without film. However, the feelings film stir up are simply ethereal. I can't even explain it.
I've created 2 options for you to choose from. You can add a little or a lot. If you're a slow living, nostalgia seeking soul like me, I recommend going for the multi roll option!
Think of it as a gift to your future self.

Your Options.

Things to note.
Before making your decision I do have to make you aware of a handful of things.
1 - The fragile nature of film means that it's never guaranteed that your film will come out looking how you want it. Some images may have light streaks on or even be completely "burnt" through (if it's going to happen it'll be the first frame (photo) of the roll). If I'm being completely honest, I try to get light flares on my personal photos because they look gorgeous.
2 - Film has to be loaded a certain way and if it's slightly out, the film might not be pulled through with each click, meaning none of the exposures (pictures) will have taken, given us a blank roll. We won't know this until I open up the back of the camera. This has never happened to me but there is always a small risk.
3 - Film by nature is grainy and not as sharp as digital images. Some images may be more sharp than others but in general they are covered in grainy goodness.

Add a dash of old school romance.

FAQs
Do we have to add it when we book?
You can wait till closer to your day, however I ask that you let me know at least 2 weeks before. This is so I can make sure I have the film stock ready.
How do we receive the film photos?
They'll be added onto your online gallery. You do not receive them as printed copies; unless of course you choose to have them printed as part of your package or pay for additional prints.
Will they be edited?
I sometimes like to do a slight "correction" edit to each photo. Mainly I add a touch of contrast if it was a particularly hazy or bright day, but essentially they are pretty much straight out of camera.
Do you offer a complete film package?
Never say never but right now no. However, if you'd like your package to be more film heavy than digital, please do let me know and we can come up with something especially for you.
