Whenever I get an enquiry and see the words marquee and at home, my heart sings with joy! There is absolutely nothing more special than having your wedding at home. It's the place that you feel most comfortable and somewhere that already holds so many memories. If you're considering having an at home wedding my advice is absolutely go for it.

Sara and Lewis didn't want the traditional, timeline rigid wedding, just a celebration of their love and life together. They chose to have a marquee wedding in Sara's parent's garden. The white marquee looked absolutely beautiful and was styled perfectly to match the calm, laidback vibe of the day. I love it when couples prioritise exactly what they want.

Every location for the day was all within a 5 minute drive, adding to the chilled atmosphere for everyone. Sara got ready at her parents house, which is a 3 minute drive to the local church. After the ceremony we headed up to one of their favourite hills where they got engaged for couple portraits. Again only a few minutes drive. They set off first in a little convertible MG and myself, the videographer, a groomsman, his partner and Sara and Lewis' dog Marley, followed in a Land Rover (apparently the only vehicle that could take us to the top of the hill). We captured some gorgeous photos, of course including Marley! The views out over the Clwydian Range were incredible. I can see why this place is so special to them. After 20 minutes of walking, chatting and picture taking, we headed back to the marquee for the rest of the afternoon and evening.

The whole day was super chilled and as a documentary wedding photographer I have to say it was an absolute pleasure to photograph.
